One of two scenarios can occur:
(1) If Winner G17 wins G20, Winner G21 must defeat Winner G17 twice in order to win the championship; or
(2) If Winner G17 loses G20, Winner G18 (which is also Winner G20) has a bye into the championship game. The Loser G20 plays Winner G21 in a semi-final game. The winner of the semi-final game plays Winner G18/G20.
The schedule is subject to change depending on rain-outs. Games 1 – 6 are first round games. Games 7-12 are second round games. Games 1- 6 will have to be completed before Games 7-12 are played. Rain-outs on 06/6/01 would push the entire playoff schedule back.
For the first two games the higher seed is the home team. For the third game and thereafter, the team with the fewer loses in the tournament is home team. If both teams have the same number of loses, a flip of a coin will determine who is the home team.
There will be three pitching weeks during the tournament. Pitching week one will include games 1-12. Pitching week two will include games 13-21, and games 24-26. Pitching week three will includes games 22 and 23. Before each game the coaches should provide each other a list of who pitched during a given week.
